Road Closures (June 13, weather impacts)

Road Closures
  • CR3 north of Thompson River Ranch due to flooding
  • CR15 south of Hwy60 due to flooding.

Please avoid these roads in our community and do NOT drive through deep standing water, you never know what is in there.

Sandbag Fill Station for Johnstown Residents - June 12/13 2023

Johnstown Residents can come to the Johnstown Cemetery (north of Hwy60 on CR13) to fill sandbags if they are needed. Many homes in Johnstown have been hit with localized flooding and sandbags are a good initial barrier to in-home flooding. 

Residents can begin to stop by the cemetery as soon as 2pm to fill their sandbags with sand OR to pick up sandbags (limited sandbags available).

  • Thompson River Ranch (RR Parkway) on the east, north up to CR20 closed because of flooding.

Johnstown Wednesday Garbage Collection - service still scheduled to happen

**For those stilling missing a garbage can, garbage can lid, or have a broken garbage can or broken garbage can lid, please call Town Hall (970-587-4664) during regular business hours M-F 8am-5pm to let Town Hall know. Be prepared to provide your name, address, a good phone number or email, and the details of your issue. You can also provide this information on the Town's Facebook.**

Johnstown Tornado Siren TEST scheduled for 4/27

Johnstown, CO - April 19, 2022 - The Town of Johnstown has coordinated testing of all Johnstown tornado sirens for April 27, 2023 at 10am.
