Residents who have garbage service with the Town’s provider, Waste Connections, will have an opportunity for free curbside pickup of their Christmas tree this month! Waste Connections will be collecting trees for disposal on JANUARY 16 and JANUARY 18 based on current garbage service days. A separate truck will travel the garbage route picking up Christmas trees so that it can then bring them to a green waste facility when tree pickup is complete.

Tree Pickup for homes WEST of CO Boulevard: Monday, January 16

Tree Pickup for homes EAST of CO Boulevard: Wednesday, January 18

Residents should only put out real trees with all electrical, lights, and bulbs removed and break down any trees over 6 feet. Residents should place the tree curbside with their garbage tote but not block access to the garbage tote with the tree.

As a reminder, there is no recycling service the week of January 16 according to Waste Connections' regular schedule. Only your Christmas trees and garbage totes should be placed curbside for service.

Looking for other methods for getting rid of your tree? The Larimer County Landfill and Greeley Organic Waste Center are among other facilities in the region that offer green waste disposal services.

Trees must be shorter than 6 feet. If they are not, break the tree down into shorter segments.
