The Town of Johnstown is seeking a new member for our Planning and Zoning Commission. 

 

What is the Planning & Zoning Commission, and what do they do?

The Planning & Zoning Commission, which is made up of 7 Johnstown residents appointed at the discretion of Town Council, conducts studies and surveys related to the present conditions and future growth of the community and advises in the preparation of development master plans and regulations.

 

What is the time commitment to serve on the Commission?

The Planning & Zoning Commission meets 1-2 times per month, typically on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, unless there is no Town business to be addressed by the Commission during a given month, or if quorum cannot be reached. Each member is appointed for a term of 4 years, or until a successor takes office. Members are not term limited. There is no compensation for serving on this commission.
