Round 2 of the Johnstown Small Business Micro Grant Program opens today. Local Johnstown businesses, including those who have already been awarded in the first round, are encouraged to apply for up to $15,000.
Johnstown, CO - December 22, 2020 – Last night, Town Council appropriated additional funding to help local Johnstown businesses impacted by COVID-19. Starting today, Round 2 of the Johnstown Small Business Micro Grant Program is officially accepting applications. Johnstown small businesses can apply for up to $15,000 by completing the online application and providing supplemental documentation. Both first time applicants as well as recipients of the first round of the Johnstown Small Business Micro Grant Program are welcome to apply.
Round 2 of this program comes eight months (almost to the day) after Town Council approved the first round of the Small Business Micro Grant Program. “The Town was one of the earliest Colorado municipalities to offer a program like this back in April and Town Staff has worked hard to quickly get the money to the businesses that need it,” said Mayor Gary Lebsack. “The Council and I appreciate every business that gives so much back to this community and our goal is to help keep our local businesses open.”
Applicants are encouraged to visit the Town’s website at Johnstown.colorado.gov/microgrant to view eligibility requirements, documents that need to be submitted, as well as to complete the online application form. All of these pieces will play into a completed application packet. Once the application packet is submitted and determined complete by Town staff, it will be brought to the Review Committee for final review. The complete review period for each application may take up to 5 business days following the submission of a complete application with funds available for approved applicants shortly thereafter.
Please note that the start of Round 2 of the Small Business Micro Grant Program indicates the end of the first round. Applicants with incomplete applications for the first round are encouraged to apply to Round 2, but no further funding is available for first round grants. Please reach out to email@example.com with questions or visit Johnstown.colorado.gov/microgrant for more information.
