The Town has determined that there will be a Fall Clean Up Day for 2021 just like last year.

Johnstown, CO – March 24, 2021 – The Town's most recent Clean Up Day was in October 2020 and was delayed from the usual Spring Clean Up Day on account of COVID-19. At this time, there is still risk associated with residents and Town Staff coming into direct contact through Clean Up Day activities and sharing household items so the Town is opting for a Fall Clean Up Day opportunity this year.

The Town knows how useful Clean Up Day is and is working on creating a Clean Up Day Program that is just as valuable for residents as it has been in the past. We appreciate your understanding of the current situation and look forward to providing this service in the Fall of this year – a year following when it was provided last year.

What is Clean Up Day? Johnstown Clean Up Day is a day (or program) that exists to make it easier for Town of Johnstown residents to remove unwanted items and garbage from their personal properties. The intention of the day (or program) is to keep Johnstown a beautiful place to live and visit! In the past, Clean Up Day was in the spring and took place at the Public Works building where residents were allowed to drop their items off with the help of Public Works staff for a small drop-off fee (extra for electronics). In 2020 the program changed as a result of COVID and took on a different look: a voucher program. The Town provided vouchers, worth up to $20 to households in Johnstown, to be used at the Larimer County Landfill to dispose of their unwanted items. The voucher Clean Up Day program lasted about 20 days, preceded by 14 days of voucher pick up.
