Town of Johnstown to Extend Closure of Facilities to the Public Through the End of the Year

Town of Johnstown Town government facilities will remain closed to the public through the end of the year for the safety of the community and Town Staff.

**This is a closure of Town government buildings, not private businesses in Johnstown.  Please refer to each individual private business for their current operating hours**

Johnstown, CO - November 30, 2020 – Closure of Town of Johnstown government facilities (the list included below) has been extended by Town Officials to January 4, 2021. Town Officials have been continuing to assess the situation in an effort to determine the right course of action that will slow the spread of COVID-19 and protect community members and staff.

As per the year’s earlier closures, the Town will still be conducting business online, through email, and also through phone calls and intends on providing the same level of service remotely that residents expect in-office.

The closure includes the following facilities:

  • Town Hall, 450 S. Parish Avenue
  • Public Works, 201 S. 1st Place
  • Community Center (Senior Center), 101 Charlotte Street
  • Municipal Court, 450 S. Parish Avenue
  • Police Department Headquarters, 430 S. Parish Avenue
  • Police Substation, 4890 Ronald Reagan Boulevard

At the end of the month, Town Officials will reassess the need for the closure and issue an updated statement regarding the January 4, 2021 anticipated open. The Town is hopeful that business can resume in the office shortly after the new year but will continue to follow state and county guidance regarding reopening.
