Work on the HA5 Pavement Treatment project will begin August 30 and last until September 15 (pending any significant weather). Each section of road in the designated Thompson River Ranch and Thompson Crossing area will be closed for no more than 24 hours.
On August 24, Johnstown Police Department and Loveland Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the Thompson Crossing neighborhood in Johnstown, Colorado. The Johnstown Police Department is interested in any information the public may have related to this event.
As part of the Town’s Pavement Management Program, roads throughout the Town are continually assessed for treatment and rehabilitation. The Town has identified roadways in the Thompson River Ranch and Thompson Crossing neighborhoods for the most immediate upcoming treatment in an effort to maintain the road usability and aesthetic. Johnstown is working with the contractor, Andale Construction, to apply HA5 high density mineral bond to lengthen the life of the existing asphalt road. During this process, your road will need to be closed overnight.
As of 12:53pm, water service has been restored.
August 16, 2021 - Johnstown, CO - The Pioneer Ridge neighborhood area is currently experiencing an interruption in their water service. The Town is aware of the service disruption and water pressure issues and Public Works and water maintenance personnel are on scene working rapidly to fix the issue.
Public Works is specifically working at the pump station to return water pressure to the neighborhood and Town interconnects have been turned on to further help mitigate the issue.
The contract with the Town’s current waste service provider (Waste Management) ends on September 1, 2021 and after processing a Request for Proposals this summer, the Town has decided to contract with Waste Connections for future garbage and recycling services. All households can expect garbage and recycling pickup to continue on Mondays with Waste Connections.
