August 1, 2023 - Johnstown, Colorado — Residents in Johnstown now have access to a free shared-ride service through Via Mobility Services.

The Via Mobility transportation service is available to residents who are physically unable to drive or are 60 years of age or older that must rely on others for transportation to work, appointments, shopping, etc. Via Mobility's drivers escort each rider door-to-door and can assist them on and off the bus as needed. Via Mobility's buses are also equipped for paratransit service.

Eligible residents can book rides up to seven days in advance for free after they register with Via as a rider. As Via Mobility is a ride-share service, riders can expect to share the bus with other passengers on their journeys. If a ride is not available during a desired time or does not travel where a resident needs to go, family and friends of eligible residents may be eligible to apply for mileage reimbursement as part of this program.
