Female in Critical Condition After Being Recovered from Pool at Johnstown Community YMCA

Johnstown, Colorado – September 9, 2023 – Around 9am on Saturday, September 9, Johnstown Police Department was dispatched to the Johnstown Community YMCA to assist with a 21-year-old, female, drowning victim. JPD assisted in performing life-saving measures until Front Range Fire Rescue and EMS arrived to take over and transport the individual to the hospital.

The individual has been admitted to the hospital and is currently undergoing testing and treatment. Johnstown Police Department is investigating the incident and has no additional information at this time.

The Town of Johnstown appreciates the quick response of first responders including Johnstown Police Department and Front Range Fire Rescue to this unfortunate incident.
