Local Trash Service Extended to August 10th For Some Neighborhoods

Waste Connections was unable to complete trash pickup service today (August 9th, 2023) for many Johnstown residents living in Pioneer Ridge and neighborhoods south of Highway 60 and east of County Road 17. Residents whose trash was not picked up should leave their cans out to be picked up tomorrow (August 10th). 

Johnstown, CO – August 9, 2023 – Town staff received an alert Wednesday afternoon from Waste Connections that many residents in Pioneer Ridge and neighborhoods south of Highway 60 and east of CR17 missed trash pickup service today due to a mechanical issue with the garbage truck. 

Any residents living in these areas whose trash was not picked up will receive service tomorrow (August 10). Impacted residents are encouraged to either leave their garbage totes out overnight or bring them back out before 7am Thursday.
